Very good your drawings. : D

The proportions and gesture are perfect. It's wonderful to see all of your skills come together, animation, life drawing, and alla prima watercolor to produce something fresh and stylistically yours.

This reminds me of a photo my aunt took of me when I was 3 or 4. I was wearing a bright red rain jacket, blowing dandelion fluff. Sadly I lost that photo, this brought back a happy memory :)

Do you wet your background before painting it? I've tried watercolour but never could get the technique down :-/

Hi Queen Bee

No I dont wet the paper when I start. I just get to it. The bleeding you saw in the youtube video results from the face being wet already. :D

I would have to say I have the simpliest technique when it comes to watercolors. I dont use a lot of layers, I don't prepare the paper a certain way, I only use one kind of brush (round). For me, keeping it simple keeps it fun, and not make it a laborious 10-step process. I hope this helps :D
