This week we painted a medical model skull. I decided to continue trying to use oils. It's hard because I'm used to using watercolors and I haven't quite got the hang of oils yet, but I'm not terribly dissatisfied with the results :)
When I was a kid, skeletons were the thing I was afraid of the most. (Then aliens). I remember always being alone in the dining room because I never finished my food with the rest of the family. But I wasn't allowed to leave until I ate every grain of rice on my plate. So I would sit there alone, but I always kept my eye on the window, because I was always afraid that I would see a skeleton there looking in.

Dear Tiffany,
Your blog always gives me a cocktail of smiles and tears. So lovely. The work, itself, is well done. Impressive. Apart from the post, let us say, "Happy New Year" for you.
Love and smile, Sadami
I like this one because it has no nostrils to discuss.
Hi Tiffany, stuff on your blog is going beautifully as always. I actually wanted to ask your advice on something, I know you're a water color PRO and I was wondering if you've ever played around with drawing inks or fountain pen inks. I'm finding myself very confused ... I mean I get why you can't put drawing ink in a fountain pen, but why can't you paint with fountain pen ink? Anyway, I was just wondering if you had any sage advice. I still love your stuff!
Thanks all :)
Sadami, your words are always an encouragement to me! And I am happy when I get a visit from you.
Ted, HA! sorry if the Stupid Kid story was too gross for you :) Little kids can be gross like that. Especially me. The next one is already drawn, just have to trace and paint. It's not gross, I promise!!
Michelle, I never have played around with drawing inks... When I do draw with ink, I use a Pilot Precise V5. I'm don't see why you can't paint with inks... The Chinese have done so for thousands of years.... I don't have experience in the matter though, but good luck! And thanks for saying such nice things :)
