After I painted this, I cooked it and ate it. Butternut squash with caramelized onions and walnuts over rotini pasta. It was fun to paint and fun to eat.

watercolor sketchbook - Skinny and Friendly
I really miss watercolor. I put it away for a long time to learn oils. Now I'm so busy with animation and mounting yardwork that I haven't had the time to really concentrate on it. I will definitely try to squeeze more watercolor in even if it is just these small pictures in my sketchbook.

Watercolor Sketchbook - Austin Java
One of the advantages of watercolor is that you can take it into a coffee shop and paint little pictures! This was done at Austin Java. I can't imagine doing that with oils and acrylics, or even pastels which release a lot of dust. It's sooo handy and fun! Try it!
