Watercolor - "Turtle Watching"

Went to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center today to do some painting. The pond at the entrance entices an audience with it's collection of cute little turtles. Unfortunately, from where I was painting, I couldn't see any, so don't try to find any turtles in my painting :)

Whoa, this piece has great color and shape to it, even at the thumbnail size. Nice!

Hey,
Really love your watercoulours! :)
I just watched the tutorial on your Youtube page and found it really helpful - hopefully I'll get to give it a go one of these days!
Thanks!

Great watercolor. Gardens are my favorite places to paint - specially with the sound of running water - very conducive to watercolor.

Your greens are amazing.

Thanks all! :D

Wren, I almost always add a hints of red to the green, especially the dark greens. I bought a print of Winslow Homer's famed Blue Boat painting, and noticed that he added a wash of red across the greens. I've been a copy cat ever since, and it really does help I think! Anyway, your watercolors are AMAZING and far be it from me to give you tips :D
