Watercolor - Pirate Lady with Parrot

The parrot in this painting is inspired by my talented friend Ted Blackman's long time pet named Gumbo!! Thanks for the inspiration, Ted and Gumbo!

Very cool. The silhouette shape is very strong. Even as a teeny thumbnail it intrigued me enough to take a peek.

I am so glad that I found you through your youtube channel. I really enjoy your videos and arts. Watercolor is one of media that I am not good at. After watching your videos, I have decided to try it again. Thank you for your inspirational technique!!!I will come and visit often. Happy creating art!!!

Beautiful and effective character design, Tiffany! The shape reads very well as a dynamic, pirate lady.

I love your plein air painting, but this is so cool! Very fluid and natural. Great, great, great.

Wow, so neat to see Gumbo in your painting. You don't often see the African Grey parrot represented in pictures, it's normally the green Amazon or the larger Macaws. VERY cool. There's a famous painting of Long John Silver with an African Grey on his shoulder that I've always liked, it looks like an N C Wyeth but not sure. In the Disney movie he had an amazon on his shoulder. I just discovered there's an old movie called Champagne For Ceaser that has an African Grey in it, so I have to look for it.
Anyway, very nice painting, my friend. -Ted

I love this character! I really like your watercolor work, it's one of the most difficult mediums to use.

Nó! Que doideira!
O que você tem em suas mãos para conseguir fazer desenhos tão fantásticos como este daí de cima?

Node! What madness!
What you have in your hands to make such fantastic designs like this one there from above?

Oh my gosh! I can't believe the response I'm getting for this watercolor painting. Thank you for all the nice comments all! Seriously! You are making me blush!!

Emersondesigner, I just wanted to say that i don't have magical hands, but I do have friends that critique me harshly but honestly. It's really the best weapon in my art arsenal to have people who wont pull punches. It hurts at first but you get used to it. This pirate went through several iterations, some are too embarrassingly bad to show. :) Thank you again, my friend.

HE!HE!HE!

Way to go!
It is with the criticisms and suggestions about our work that we can improve it. Often saying that there is bad, so make improvement or: change it because there was not legal. And so, modify, and add something we take in our work always looking to improve it.

That's it!
HE! HE! HE!
